One Step Closer...

In July I was encourage to submit a panel of my portrait images to The Guild of Professional Photographers for the first level of qualification. This would be a great indication of how far I have come in my photography since picking up a camera a few years ago. It would also show you how serious I am about getting the best image of you that I possibly can. So with the help of a mentor, I choose 21 images, fine tuned them, filled out the application form and sent off the panel.

A selection of the images submitted.

I wasn't sure how long I'd have to wait but after a few short weeks, one Monday morning in August I received the email telling me that I had passed and was now officially a Qualified member of The Guild. With this news I tried my luck with The Society Of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, another society for professional photographers in the UK and am happy to say I passed their Licentiate level qualification.

So now I'm plotting and planning my images to submit for the next level of qualification of both societies.
